Thank you The Little House Gallery for a fine event!
Sisterhood was an exhibition by three sisters from a family of seven siblings. Tess who is the oldest, Kasia who is number three and Halina number six, gave themselves the task of creating a body of work that would bring them together to further explore their creativity.
Tess Falvey works with paint, paper cuttings, maps and collage which transform into a series of stories. Her studio is in Burnham Market, Norfolk.
Kasia Ridding hand paints plate and bowls. Her inspiration comes from graphic repetition and folk art. She lives and works in the Loire Valley, France.
Halina Ekberg paints symbols and motifs to create layers of meaning. Her enthusiasm for colour is in stark contrast to the long winters in Sweden where she lives and works.
